Bennettsville, SC Peggy Liles Bishop, 86, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at her residence after a brief illness. Born May 29, 1936, in Bailey, NC, she was a daughter of the late William Hubert and Madie Baines Liles. Mrs. Peggy graduated from Atlantic Christian College and was a retired public-school teacher. She was a member Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the WMU.
Ricky also loved the Dillon Wildcats and Clemson Tigers. In everything we do, we strive to meet and exceed the expectations of the families we serve. Donna Jeanne Hardiman, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday December 12, 2022 at her home in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. She was born on October 1, 1937 in Kasson, Minnesota to the late Howard R. Nelson & Fern L. Frost Nelson.

Danny liked cars, motorcycles, and drag racing. He served as manager of Hardees in Bennettsville for several years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Graham. Burroughs Funeral Home was founded by Ivey R. Burroughs, Elizabeth N. Burroughs and Luther Fowler in August of 1941.
Thomas enjoyed watching westerns, cooking, and gardening. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Funeral sermons include remarks made by ministers regarding the life of a deceased person. In Germany, these sermons were often collected and published. The middle and wealthier classes were more likely to have sermons for their dead, but sermons can occasionally be found for farmers, printers, or soldiers. Protestants started the practice and made the most funeral sermons, but Catholic priests also followed the custom.

McColl, SC David Lee Roller, age 48 of McColl passed away July 27, 2022 after an illness. David was born April 16, 1974 in Utica, NY, a son of the late Rodney Roller and Juanita “Jodi” Drury. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. He worked many years as a welder and pipefitter. David was a people person who loved everybody. He had a huge heart, and would do anything for anybody.

In school, John studied Architecture and Building Design. He developed several properties and built many homes, along with remodeling and renovating residential and... Robert left Georgia at the age of 28 after attending Augusta Community college graduating as a heavy equipment mechanic. He also worked as a chauffeur, and in his spare time he love outdoor sports.

McColl, SC Teressa Maurer Locklear age 68, of McColl, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at her residence. Teressa was born October 27, 1954, in Bennettsville, SC, a daughter of the late Ray Douglas Clark and Dorothy Jacobs. She was adopted and lovingly raised by George Maurer, Jr. Teressa retired from Hanes/Sara Lee Hosiery after several years of service.
Ms. Brenda enjoyed cooking, especially for holidays with the family. She also enjoyed flowers, she loved to make floral arrangements.... Bennettsville, SC Aileen Rowell Meggs, age 91 of Bennettsville, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, after an extended illness. Aileen was born on August 23, 1931, in Conway, SC, a daughter of the late James and Aletha Rowell. Aileen was a longtime resident at Oakwood Manor in Bennettsville.

Ralph was born July 2, 1937, in St. Louis, Mo. He was one of seventeen children born to the late Reinhardt Voegtlin, III and Grace Stroder Voegtlin.
Janice Kay Lamb, 73, of Surfside Beach, SC, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022 at MUSC. She was born July 17, 1949 in Asheville, NC, daughter of the late Edward Butler and Edith Callaway Butler. Survivors include her loving husband, Robert Claude Lamb of Surfside Beach; one son, Robert Bradley Lamb and his wife, Veronica of Greer, SC; and three grandchildren.
edit source]Florence, SC William “Bill” Murchison Rowe, 83, passed away after a brief illness on the morning of November 20, 2022, surrounded by his wife of 59 years and 347 days. Bill was an amazing husband, soul mate, father and friend. He loved and trusted in his God and was a man of strong faith. Bill cherished his family and treasured his friends. Bill leaves behind a broken-hearted wife who remains devastated at his loss. We will serve our community as an educational and informational resource center.
